CARP FISHING:

Most of our carp fishing is done from the bank, although at times we will travel up/down river on our 21ft skiff to fish some inaccessible shallow bays and deep spots where huge numbers of carp sometimes shoal up.

At EBROadventure we keep rigs simple, generally semi fixed leads to 20lb mainline or braid with a 20ft snag leader to reduce cut offs on the huge mussel beds on the bottom. Our baiting methods change, depending on what area we are fishing and the time of year. We guarantee we will put you on the fish, with the best tackle and bait and advise on amount and type of feed to use to maximise your chances of catching these lean, fighting machines!

CAT FISHING:

The cat fishing varies depending on area and whether we are fishing from the bank or boat. From the bank we will generally fish pellet style on the bottom with a necklace of six to ten 22mm halibut pellet, hair rigged on a 3-4ft hook length of dyneema braid [150lb test] or we will set up a buoy system to live bait eels or mullet, both methods work extremely well.

From the boat we will anchor up and fish live/dead baits either on the bottom or suspended [buoy system] , float fish live baits suspended 3-4ft under the boat [clonking] which is an explosive way to catch catfish, or by drifting live/dead baits slowly down current [depending on flow]. We also lure fish from the boat and bank, all our methods work, depending on time of year and area, we will use whatever method we think will put your fish of a lifetime on the bank !
